Love is everywhere! Hope everyone is finding time to spoil (or be spoiled by) their significant other this week. If you don't currently have a significant other, that's okay. Go give some platonic love to another single person in your life. What's happening??
Album 2 prep
Little by little, we're chipping away at our second album. Hoping to give this next release some good marketing energy and package it with some cool supplementary pieces of art (like a mini comic book ?!). We recently got together and developed the fictional world that this album exists in – we've been diving head first into world-building with our compositions as of late, which is a lot of fun. There's drama, there's humor, there's pillockry. We'll reveal more as we get closer to recording.
Slum Village w/ Room3 - March 4
Also on the horizon is our show playing as the backing band for Detroit hip-hop legends, Slum Village, on March 4 at Dakota (ticket link above). We recently added Kevin Gamble to the lineup on aux keys to ensure we're really filling out these Dilla beats (and if you know KG, you know he's the perfect man for the job). If we're gonna do this, we gotta do it right! Rehearsals are starting up this week, excited to lock in these grooves. Hip-hop heads: Don't miss this one!!
