Post gig blues (R3R MAR11)
Welcome back to The Room3 Report: An informal newsletter keeping you up to date on all upcoming performances, music releases, merch drops, and general happenings in the world of Room3.
Last week was a doozy! The band got to spend a lot of quality time together with three rehearsals and two shows in the span of six days, which was awesome. Wednesday's show backing Slum Village at Dakota was one of the coolest performances I've personally ever been a part of. It was one of those gigs that makes you feel silly going to work the next day—just felt like too much of a rockstar to be answering monotonous emails at 9am. After a solid month and a half of prep and anticipation for that one, it feels weird to move forward, but we'll all certainly remember it for years to come. Hoping more opportunities come from it...
Our show at the Anderson Center was also dope. Always love playing for a completely new audience, and it was evident that nobody in that crowd had ever seen us, nor heard of us, before. Safe to say we gained some new fans! The video for that one turned out pretty good so we'll likely be dropping that soon in some shape or form. Debuted two brand new tunes at this show and they both went surprisingly well.
After a full week of Room3, a week of no Room3 can make life feel pretty dull. We've all been there, amiright? BUT, our summer schedule is filling up with some sick shows and we're hitting next at Volsteads on April 16, so luckily we have a lot to look forward to! Getting back into our jazz bag for that one, it's gonna be great.

Concert footage
Stay tuned for footage from our opening set for The Headhunters on Feb. 4, Slum Village on March 4, and The Anderson Center on March 6! We might throw the whole 90 min Anderson Center show up on YouTube, it was a good one, and we'll post some clips on our website and socials eventually (I swear!). Look up our YouTube channel (@room3collective) to revisit some old live concerts.
Merch
New iterations of the classic “Room3” T-shirt will be available at all future shows. Now in Pink and Dark Purple for $30 a pop. “Bill’s Garden” CDs are also available for $10.
