The perfect post-gig meal (R3R MAY7)
Every musician can relate—The one thing that is always at the forefront of all of our minds as we load in, set up, sound check, perform, and tear down is: What are we going to eat after the gig??
As the co-chief executive post gig eats officer (CCEPGEO) of Room3, I believe my vast experience of eating after gigs has lead me to deep knowledge on the topic. Today I will share with you my findings, contained in an objectively true top 5 list.
#5 - American Bar Food

The most widely available food after the gig. A very classic, safe option. Can't go wrong with it. Our favorite spot in the Twin Cities for this food is Zamboni's on 7th (https://zambonison7th.com/)
#4 - Indian Food

Here in Room3, we love our Naan. Great communal meal to share food and laughs post gig. We use the spice to forget the wrong notes we just hit. Our favorite spot in the Twin Cities is Dancing Ganesha (https://www.dancingganeshampls.com/)
#3 - Chinese Food

Room3's classic post rehearsal meal, so much so that we named our debut album after our favorite Chinese restaurant... It'll feed you post gig, and give you left-overs for the next one. Our go to spot in the Twin Cities is Bill's Garden Chinese Gourmet (https://billsgardenmntogo.com/)
#2 - Mexican Food

The best late-night option there is. Could be from a local spot, a food truck, or made fresh at home. Will put you right into a post-gig food coma. Our favorite late night spot in town is Los Ocampo (open til 4am on weekends) (https://www.losocampo.com/)
#1 - Chicken wings

A big ol' basket of chicken wings is unbeatable (apologies to our vegan/vegetarian readers, cauliflower wings are pretty gas, too). We're always in the mood for chicken, particularly when you can gnaw it off the bone. For it's versatility and timelessness, this deserves #1 on our list.
